E firmantenan di e peticion aki ta haci un yamada urgente pa Gobernador, Gobierno y Parlamento di Aruba pa:

1. Introduci un moratorium inmediatamente riba hotel, timeshare y condominium;
2. Implementa, manera recomenda pa nos institutonan di turismo, un “high value low impact” tourism policy, por medio di un ley;
3. Regula, controla y limita e candidad di actividadnan turistico (deporte acuatico, huurmento di UTV’s, waterparks, restaurants etc.)

Het maakt niet uit wat voor politieke kleur je hebt of waar je geboren bent. Als je vindt dat we moeten stoppen met de ongecontroleerde bouw van meer hotels en condominiums, sta op en laten we onze krachten bundelen om deze ontwikkelingen nu te stoppen! Onderteken deze petitie en deel het met familie en bekenden om ons te helpen met het inzamelen van minimaal 10,000 handtekeningen. Met deze hoeveelheid handtekeningen kunnen we onze politici eisen om het onderwerp van Moratorium serieus te nemen en het als zodanig in het Parlement te behandelen. Een verbonden Aruba kan meer bereiken dan een verdeeld eiland.

De ondertekenaars van deze petitie doen een urgente oproep aan de gouverneur, de regering en het parlement van Aruba om:

1. Door middel van een landsverordening per direct een moratorium in te stellen op hotels, timeshares en condominiums;
2. Door middel van een wet, een “high value low impact” beleid op het gebied van toerisme te implementeren, zoals is aangeraden door onze autoriteiten op het gebied van toerisme;
3. Het aanbod aan toeristische activiteiten (op gebied van watersport, verhuur UTV’s, restaurants, pretparken waterparken e.d.) te reguleren, controleren en in te dammen.

It doesn’t matter what your political color is nor where you were born. If you believe that we’ve got to stop the uncontrolled construction of more hotels and condominiums, stand up and let’s join forces to stop these developments now! Sign this petition and share it with your family and acquaintances to help us collect a minimum of 10,000 signatures. With this amount we can demand our politicians to take the topic of a Moratorium seriously and treat it as such in Parliament. A united Aruba can accomplish more than a divided island.

We, the undersigned, urge the governor, the government and parliament of Aruba to:

1. Immediately introduce a moratorium on hotels, timeshares and condominiums by means of a national ordinance;
2. Implement a “high value low impact” tourism policy by law, as was advised by our tourism institutions;
3. Regulate, check and limit the quantity of tourist related activities (watersports, UTV rentals, restaurants, waterparks etc.).
